Friends of Islip Town Firefighters would like to thank all who supported the Fire/EMS Mega Show, especially those who purchased vendor space or visited the show. Attendance has been steadily increasing over the past few years. Proceeds from the show will help Friends of Islip Town Firefighters Inc., who are raising money to build a museum and education center that will not only showcase historical items for Fire and EMS organizations within the Town of Islip, but will also serve as an education center for both emergency service personnel and the general public.

Friends of Islip Town Firefighters once again made a generous donation of $2500 to the Stony Brook University Burn Center. Congratulations to the West Sayville Fire Department, who won the raffle for the 50” Panasonic HD TV AND a Blu-Ray Disc Player.

A big thank you goes out to all the teams who came out and competed in the Extrication Challenge. This competition showcased the skills of our Long Island volunteer firefighters. The scores were as follows:
