The Islip Town Fire & EMS Museum and Education Center will again be hosting the fundraiser Man-vs-Machine training on Friday 10th, 2024 (lecture) and Saturday May 11th, 2024 (HOT) presented by P.L. Vulcan Fire Training Concepts.
This highly interactive training class will present students with methods used to disentangle victims from a variety of situations. Friday 5/10 (evening) will feature the lecture portion of the class while Saturday 5/11 will feature a four hour hands-on training (HOT) session (choice of 8 AM or 12:30 PM start time). time). Evolutions progress in complexity from basic ring removal techniques to auger entrapments, impalements (fencing/inside vehicles), persons trapped under vehicles as well as "tips & tricks" learned from real world experiences. Cost for this fundraiser training class (lecture & HOT) is $125.00 per person (vouchers accepted) with a portion of the proceeds supporting the mission of the Islip Town Fire & EMS Museum and Education Center. *HOT sessions are limited to a total of 30 participants each* **Pre-registration is required by no later than April 26th, 2024** (Our 2023 HOT class sold out in record time so don't delay registering!)
